HS Spring Sports Update

Dear FUSD Athletes:

We know that the school closures as a result of the global COVID-19 epidemic are impacting you in many ways. Like you, we wish you were in our pools and on our tracks, fields, and courts practicing and competing. Giving up this time with your team and your coaches is not easy.  Given that we will not be returning for school this year the seasons have also ended. We know that your commitment to your team remained high while your expectations for a great season have been dashed.

In the meantime, it is important for you to stay healthy and keep active. Go for runs, walks, and hikes...just follow guidelines around social distancing. You can also do body-weight resistance exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups, squat jumps, etc.  Eating fresh fruits and vegetables and getting regular sleep is key as well.

We will be putting out information about returning uniforms and other items you may have. This will be part of a comprehensive plan to return books and obtain your personal belongings that may still be on campus. This will take place once we know the situation is safer for us to move about and leave our homes. 

Tomorrow (4/10/20) Spring Break begins. Make sure it is truly a break for you. Workout (safely), read, and enjoy doing the things you like to do. This situation is something you will never forget. 

During this time of uncertainty be sure to take care of yourself and your families and friends. If you need anything remember that your counselors, teachers, and administrators are all here for you just like we are.
